We’re looking to engage with public sector procurement professionals for our public sector client, who require 2 (two) Assistant Commercial Managers, focusing on the Management Consultancy category and other Professional Services; Engineering and Project Managers, etc.
These contracts offer hybrid working between home and London offices (near London Bridge). You’ll need to be a strong team player with excellent time management, and the ability to deal with a high volume of work, which includes:
- Running procurement projects
- Working within Public sector regulations/ PCR
- Call off competition framework
- Tendering
- Wide ranging procurements
- Contract admin
Initially, these will be 6 (six) month contracts with possible extensions thereafter.
To succeed in these roles you will be required to identify high value for money savings opportunities through timely and accurate management information, plan, build and maintain pre-defined stakeholder profiles and specifications, operate compliant procurement process across 3-12 month horizon and bridge self skills and development gaps.
You will support the Commercial Manager (Procurement) in the delivery of:
- strategic commercial direction for projects and categories from concept through specification, contract and procurement, design, delivery, verification and operational support,
- enhancement activity to deliver value through: Supplier Relationship Management; Supply Chain Management and the development of commercial processes, guidance and tools.
The Consultancy Team are at the forefront of delivering Consultancy Services across the organisation. The sub–categories the team covers Management Consultancy, Professional Services, Engineering, Property and Architectural Services, Energy Consultancy, Insurance, Legal, Financial Consultancy and other Consultancy categories. The team are responsible for owning the end-to-end sourcing and contract management processes for consultancy, through strategy development to contract close. Team members are responsible for supporting the business to define commercial requirements and ensure these meet the desired business outcomes, while also delivering value from third party spend. Consultancy team members are expected to work closely with customers to understand desired outcomes and challenge requirements to achieve business aims in the most cost efficient way possible.
