Our client is a world leader in food and FM services that employs around 30,000 people in the UK & Ireland, and partners with clients across more than 2,000 sites.

As the Interim FM Category Manager, you’ll be at the heart of the Indirect procurement strategy, with a focus on Hard and Soft Facilities.

Your role is more than managing categories – it’s about innovating and driving the organisations presence and competitiveness across the UK & Ireland. Every strategy you create, every relationship you foster, and every decision you make will have a profound impact, propelling service quality and technical performance to new heights.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage assigned FM-focused categories, increasing international coverage and driving efficiency.
  • Develop and lead category management sourcing strategies across the UK & Ireland.
  • Collaborate with global buying teams to align and implement global category strategies.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across Supply Management in the UK.
  • Ensure compliance to company policies, maintaining a focus on risk mitigation.
  • Manage a pipeline of projects and initiatives based on business need and opportunity analysis.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the Global Supply Management.

What you bring:

  • Experience in Buying/ Procurement Category Management.
  • Experience in FM procurement would be particularly relevant.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a multicultural and matrix environment.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and commercial performance improvement.
  • Graduate calibre, working towards CIPS/ ISM or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong presentation skills, both verbally and written, with excellent communication abilities.
  • Financial acumen, results-oriented, with a focus on revenue generation and savings.
  • Flexibility for international travel where required; fluency in English, (French/ Spanish a plus).
