Interim Procurement Manager

Full Description

In this assignment, you will provide a professional compliant procurement related support service for allocated user stakeholders to achieve value for money and high stakeholder satisfaction.

To succeed in this role you will need to analyse data and identify value for money savings opportunities/ support services, support the development and delivery of commercial best practice, processes, governance, guidance and tools, provide timely and accurate management information, build and maintain pre-defined stakeholder profiles and specifications to a high service level, operate compliant procurement process /programmes across 3-12 month horizon and bridge self skills and development gaps.

This is a Procurement role not a Contract Management role. You will support the Commercial Manager (Procurement) in the delivery of:

• strategic commercial direction for projects and categories from concept through specification, contract and procurement, design, delivery, verification and operational support, and
• enhancement activity to deliver value through: Supplier Relationship Management; Supply Chain Management and the development of commercial processes, guidance and tools.

You’ll be focusing on spend within the Consultancy Team who are at the forefront of delivering Consultancy Services. The sub – categories the team covers are Management Consultancy, Professional Services, Engineering, Property and Architectural Services, Energy Consultancy, Insurance, Legal, Financial Consultancy and other Consultancy categories. The team are responsible for owning the end-to-end sourcing and contract management processes for consultancy, through strategy development to contract close. Team members are responsible for supporting the business to define commercial requirements and ensure these meet the desired business outcomes, while also delivering value from third party spend. Consultancy team members are expected to work closely with customers to understand desired outcomes and challenge requirements to achieve business aims in the most cost efficient way possible.
