Contract: Immediate start – 31st May 2026

Our client is transforming its Fleet Services operations, developing both interim and long-term operating models to enhance service delivery and efficiency. We are seeking a dynamic Fleet Services Contract & Procurement Manager to support this transformation, focusing on procurement, contract management, and operational delivery across the organisation.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the commercial activities of Fleet Services, including vehicle workshops and wider business areas. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and proactive, adapting to the ongoing organisational redesign and supporting seamless contract transitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Fleet Services procurement and contract management activities
  • Support the Head of Fleet in both strategic and operational delivery
  • Manage, allocate, and monitor contracts across the team
  • Plan and execute re-procurements, ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations
  • Analyse financial data, spend, and performance metrics for Fleet operations
  • Draft specifications and procurement documentation (tendering handled by a separate team)
  • Oversee smooth implementation and transition of new Fleet contracts
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members and peers
  • Drive continuous improvement and proactive contract management

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in procurement and contract management, ideally end-to-end
  • Experience managing public sector contracts, particularly Fleet-related services
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial and performance data
  • Proven ability to draft clear, effective specifications and documentation
  • Experience in mentoring, learning, and development of team members
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Desirable Qualifications

  • CIPS and/or IACCM or equivalent public sector/government contract qualifications
