The Procurement Hive is proud to partner with a respected non-profit organisation seeking a Project Buyer to join their team on a fixed-term contract through to the end of 2026.
About the Role:

As Project Buyer, you’ll play a key role in supporting Procurement Partners and Category Buyers, managing lower-value sourcing projects and overseeing RFx processes. Your work will ensure that procurement activities align with broader research and operational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse portfolio of procurement projects.
- Support category planning and strategic sourcing efforts.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Help scientific and operational teams make informed commercial decisions, ensuring value for money, regulatory compliance, and overall efficiency.
This is an agile, delivery-focused procurement role where your expertise will directly contribute to both research and operational success.
About You:
You are proactive and commercially minded, confident in leading projects independently while fostering effective collaboration across teams. Your strong organisational skills enable you to manage multiple priorities with ease, and your ability to build trusted relationships is a key strength.
You thrive in ambiguous situations, influencing decisions and constructively challenging the status quo to drive continuous improvement.
Technical Skills:
- Procurement Advocate – Strong understanding of procurement’s value proposition.
- Contractual Knowledge – Familiarity with key contractual terms.
