Interim Senior Consultant – Supply Chain Network Design & Optimisation Project

Role Overview

Join our Insights team to support dynamic Supply Chain and Operations solutions. You’ll play a key role in designing and optimising supply chain networks, conducting greenfield analyses, and improving inventory, logistics, and routing strategies.

As a hands-on modeller, you’ll work under the guidance of experienced Supply Chain and Operations Research experts, collaborating directly with general consultants to provide analytical expertise. You’ll develop digital twins of supply chain networks, prepare and model data, run scenario analyses, and deliver strategic insights to both consultants and leadership.

Project Scope

Duration: Typically 4–16 weeks per engagement

Team Structure: Dedicated full-time role with ~50% collaboration from client-side Supply Chain/Operations leaders

Client Interaction: Varies by project; some roles may include direct client-facing responsibilities

Travel: Occasional on-site work with global contracts teams may be required

Requirements

Essential:

• Proven experience in supply chain analytics, including network design, inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics
• Proficiency with tools and platforms such as Coupa/Llamasoft, Optilogic Cosmic Frog, AIMMS, and a working knowledge of the optimization and simulation engines behind them
• Strong skills in data ETL and visualization using tools like Alteryx, SQL, Python, Tableau, and/or Power BI
• Excellent planning, collaboration, and communication abilities

Preferred:

• Exposure to multiple industries including Advanced Manufacturing, Chemicals, CPG, and Retail
• Knowledge of combinatorial optimization and modelling tools such as Gurobi, CPLEX, or Hexaly
• Experience in a fast-paced consulting environment
