Sourcing Manager

Full Description

We’re currently partnering with a leading, global management consultancy who are looking to recruit a new procurement associate for a major client partnership based in New Zealand. They’re wanting to find a procurement professional who has driven large and complex sourcing events, ideally with experience working in any of the following industries – FMCG, Retail, Food Production (but they are flexible on this).

They commenced a 2-year transformation with this partner in Sept 2023. Our client have already identified huge savings opportunities and now need to start delivering.

The initial engagement will be on a contract basis for 6 months (5 x days per week), with a view to longer term (potentially permanent) opportunities thereafter. Although there is lots of flexible working, there will be the need to be on-site with the client when required (so we only want to speak with procurement professionals who have the right to work and can be based in New Zealand).

Other requirements include:

• Someone who can provide expertise on strategic sourcing for big contracts across a varied spend portfolio.
• Former sourcing managers or category managers.
• Experience on sourcing big contracts (contracts of several hundred million dollars value, of long duration, requiring a lot of stakeholder management, and having a high strategic impact for the firm) – for example big infrastructure, energy contracts, technology contracts.
